Saver Vs. Spender

I am definitely a spender. I couldn't save a dime if my life depended on it. I'm trying to work on it but I don't have a job yet so what money I do have wouldn't save up to much. I think my generation is going to have trouble saving for retirement because we have trouble looking forward into the future and planing to be successful. I think this because we spend our money on worthless junk that we don't need and that we will only use once. I think because of my generation's lack of the ability to look forward we will be hurt in the long run and not be able to retire as soon if at all.
